Aviation Physicals

Dr. Katia Meier has served as a Senior Aviation Medical Examiner (AME) for the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) since May 2007.

She currently performs:

  • Class II FAA Medical Exams

  • Class III FAA Medical Exams

(Class I exams may be offered in the future.)

All examinations are conducted in a professional medical office setting using the FAA MedXPress online application system.

MedXPress Information

The FAA MedXPress system allows applicants to electronically complete FAA Form 8500-8 prior to their appointment. Information entered into MedXPress is transmitted directly to the FAA and made available to our office for review during your examination.

Please note:

  • A medical examination by an FAA-designated Aviation Medical Examiner (AME) is required to complete certification.

  • MedXPress does not process FAA Air Traffic Control Specialist exams.

To begin:

  1. Visit FAA.gov and complete your MedXPress application.

  2. Print the confirmation page.

  3. Bring the confirmation number and required documentation to your appointment.

Appointment Details

  • Exams last approximately 45 minutes.

  • We currently conduct Class II and Class III physicals only.
